**A Long-Held Dread**
The residents of a small Russian village can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the man who once spread terror amongst them years ago has been caught after allegedly committing another murder. Former convict and war veteran, Sergey Petrov, had been living on the outskirts of the village, causing unease and fear among the villagers.
Things took a turn for the worse on the evening of September 22 when Petrov allegedly attacked and killed a villager in an act of unprovoked violence. The victim, a 46-year-old farmer, leaves behind a wife and two children.
**A Troubled Past**
