The Wanderlust Blogger’s Tale

Once a trip down the Ohio River felt like an adventure. Then came in the digitized age where each corner of the globe got mapped, stuffed in our smartphones for instant access. But here is an intrepid adventurer who churns out an unusual story. He visited every US state thrice, dental flossing economies of air miles and is more than ready for another round. Our modern-day explorer and blogger extraordinaire, William Greenstein reveals his favorite states and a few he wouldn’t be so excited to wander again.

Top 6 States: Hidden Gems of USA

Greenstein turned his wanderlust into a journey of discovery. Heading his list is the Pacific Northwest’s stunning synthesis of urban and organic – Oregon. Its rich craft and food scene coupled with stunning landscapes made it win his heart. Coming second is Vermont, a northeastern state famous for its fall foliage and delightful maple syrup. Next, he appreciates the Old West charm of Montana, with its blend of untouched wilderness and rustic sophistication.

Further advancing his list, the Midwestern farm charm and dynamic culture of Wisconsin land it a spot. Fifth up is the southern hospitality of Tennessee with its fabulous food, music, and rich history. Rounding up the top six, he reveled in the diversity and glamour of none other than New York, the state that never sleeps.

The 4 Not-So-Favorites

Not every place struck the same chord with him. Among the places he appreciated less or wouldn’t make an extra effort to visit again, one was Rhode Island. Despite its colonial towns and coastal scenes, it lacked the thrill for our audacious adventurer. Following this, we have West Virginia. He found the state lackluster, missing out on providing an enthralling experience. Next comes Indiana; despite its allure of Midwestern charm, he found it mundanely ordinary. Lastly, he mentioned New Mexico, citing the scorching temperatures as the prime reason he wouldn’t head back anytime soon.

Insights from the Journey

Greenstein explains that this is not a ‘worst to best’ ranking. He believes every state has its unique charm, and the rankings are primarily based upon what resonated with his personal interests and struck a chord within his adventurer soul.

Facing the end of a long road, this audacious blogger has compiled a list that goes beyond iconic landmarks, matching nostalgia with novelty and beauty with vibrancy. Despite his not-so-favorite states, he insists that they too have their charm and that “every place is worth a visit.”
